Grounded Futures

Embodied healing, rooted resilience, lighter tomorrows

Grounded Futures is a suicide prevention and postvention project that is embedded in embodiment (grounding), hope (futures), and community resilience (tenacity).

It demonstrates how embodiment, cultural specificity, and community collaboration can transform suicide prevention and postvention by embedding culturally relevant resources, action planning, and embodied practice. it offers a model that:
• Integrates cultural and somatic approaches moving beyond clinical models.
• Works through trusted community entry points (such as barbershops, faith groups, youth hubs).
• Works collaboratively to co-produce prevention strategies with those most affected.
• Challenges silence and invisibility
• Brings together practitioners, community leaders, and organisations to sustain collaboration, amplify local action plans, and feed insights into national policy.
