Sickle Cell Research Cafe
Elevate Young Minds with support from Bayo co-created a wellbeing workshop to support Black young people to develop coping skills when faced with social anxiety and other mental health struggles that impacts on their ability to participate fully in debate clubs.
This Research Café is to bring together people living with sickle cell, their families, healthcare professionals, and researchers to explore how research can better address the needs of the sickle cell community.
The session is to increase awareness of current and upcoming studies, build trust and understanding between researchers and community members, and create space for open discussion about barriers, opportunities, and priorities for future research.
